Note of Mention
There is a section of Trail 52 outside East Burke Village where Kingdom Trails shares our trail system, they are primarily cris-crossing our VAST trail.  Please be advised that if Fat-Tire Bike riders are on the KT trail system, they DO have permission to also be on the private land that we have been given permission to utilize in the winter months, they are advised that when their trail meets ours, sleds have the "right of way" but there might be some here and there not so familiar with it -please be courteous and patient -we are trying to find ways to make compromise and keep our vital trail access!
If you find someone riding on trails outside of the East Burke/Burke Mountain area that are shared use with Kingdom Trails, you may notify authorities to address.  Many sleds now are almost silent coming upon a bike rider, and have size and inertia on their side, a collision would never be a positive thing.  At this time, they are not required to hold an insurance policy as we are to ride (only) the trail system, but it is one more reason that we do feel it a reasonable request for VAST TMA holders to carry insurance.
Please ride with caution and awareness -there are always wild animals that could be on the trail, in some areas of shared use, there may be walkers, cross country skiers, horseback riders and now bike riders.  Let's keep a positive spin and reflection on our industry.
